Environmental Picnic on a unique playground

On Sunday, 29 June, from 11:00 to 14:00, an Environmental Picnic will take place on an unusual playground that has been created on a closed landfill site. A host of attractions awaits participants.

The Waste Management Plant in Poznan together with the Edu4Eco.pl portal invite all residents of Poznan and the surrounding area to start their summer holidays together - bring your family and friends and come and see us. On the last Sunday of June, we will meet at 1 Meteoritowa Street in Suchy Las, on the grounds of the Waste Management Plant in Poznan.

Numerous attractions in an unusual location

The Eco Picnic is a great opportunity to spend time with the family, all in the spirit of ecology. A number of ecological attractions for children and adults have been planned: quizzes, a waste Twister, educational games. During classes under the project "Our Dragon Ambulance teaches first aid", conducted by the Provincial Ambulance Station in Poznań, we will learn together how to save lives.

In addition, participants will be awaited by, among others:

- animation and dancing for children,

- meeting with alpacas,

- soap bubble show,

- natural ice cream,

- environmental workshops,

- XXL inflatable dart and shooting goal.

The unique Eco-Educational Playground was created on one of the reclaimed landfill sites, and recycled elements and materials were used to give them a second life. You can find benches made from recycled film and clothing, fencing and flowerbeds made from old tyres, or waste bins made from washing machine drums. The picnic will also be an opportunity to enjoy recycling games and activities.

Donate electro-waste - receive a seedling

Do you have used batteries, an old phone or a broken washing machine to donate? You can take them with you! During the picnic, you can use the Gratowoz truck and hand over your used electrical and electronic equipment. The collection of electro-waste is being carried out in cooperation with the Department of Municipal Economy of the City of Poznań. Seedlings of garden plants await participants who donate electro-waste to the Gratowoz.

The organisers of the event are: Waste Management Plant in Poznań and the educational portal Edu4Eco.pl. The event is open - admission is free.

A car park awaits participants at the entrance to the Plant at 1 Meteorite Street in Suchy Las - if arriving by car, it is advisable to make sure to share transport and come in several people. The transition from the entrance gate to the Ecological-Educational Playground is via an educational path.
