What does the milk from a drone look like?
Drones' brood is opaque, greyish, milky white or yellowish in colour. Its texture is malleable and its smell is sweet and sour. This milk is not stable, so it must be preserved within 24 hours of collection. Most often, drone brood is frozen, dried or mixed with honey and homogenised, so it can be stored at home for up to six months.
